 Where: LOCCENT
When: Lunchtime
Who: Marged, anyone else

A quiet moment in LOCCENT was hard to find, but Marged had discovered it in the form of lunchtime. Almost everyone else was away, eating lunch and catching up with whatever other duties they had before everything became fully operational, but Marged was still here, eating a bagel from the cafeteria and watching a Breach simulation run on the screen in front of her.

Every so often, she made a few notes on the pad next to her, but it was clear her mind wasn't really on the simulation at all.

Who: Marged Saunders
Where: outside the Shatterdome
When: Mid-morning
Open to: Anyone!

Marged, bundled up in woolly hat, coat and several layers of scarves and fingerless gloves, was kicking a football she'd found against the wall of the Shatterdome. KODIAK was painted above her in large, yellow letters: she was using the space between the two lower branches of the K as a kind of goal. Expertly, she dribbled the ball around some small rocks on the concrete, blonde hair waving in the wind, and gave the ball an almighty boot into the wall.

"Goal!" she cheered, throwing both hands up into the air. "The crowd goes wild!"

Perched on a rock a few feet away, a lone seagull eyed her balefully.

Who: Anyone who wants to meet Marged
When: Afternoon
Where: Engineering bay
Warnings/Rating: None

"Do you mind?"

The engineering bay was a hive of activity, as always. Techs, programmers and engineers crawled all over the new line of Mark 2 Jaegers, getting them ready for pilots. The air was full of the sound of industry, which mainly sounded like people banging large bits of metal on other bits of metal.

Marged didn't mind. One of the engineers had dragged a couch out here and she was spread out on it, laptop resting on her stomach and cup of tea in hand. The battered brown thing and a few crates formed a kind of unofficial break area. It was probably not for trainees, and definitely not for Marged- hence the rather miffed question from one of the Jaeger techs. Marged smiled back sunnily and toasted him with her mug.

"Nah, I'm good thanks. You carry on."

She slurped at her tea and carried on writing, rapid Welsh filling the screen.

<Anyway, Nia, I'm not in a giant warehouse full of cute boys, no matter what you think you know from the recruitment ads. It's cold out here, there's no clubs and I miss you. Hope you're taking no crap from mam and looking after mamgu now I'm not there.>
